Please respect each other's anonymity in the chat rooms just as you would in a live meeting.

Do not interrupt while someone is speaking, wait for them to finish.  Indicate that you'd like to speak by raising your hand (!)  Please say "PASS" when you are done speaking during a meeting so everyone knows you are finished.

Do not cross talk during meetings.  This chat room has Private Message capabilities.  To talk to someone in private simply double click on their name to open a new window and type to PRIVATE MESSAGE or whisper like you would in a live meeting.

If somebody is bothering you, you can always use the IGNORE feature.  The chat room monitor or WEBSERVANT has the discretion to boot somebody from the room for inappropriate conduct.  Usually, a warning will be given.

Be careful what you share in your profile.  Never share credit card information, your telephone number or address in your profile or in the chatroom.  Use the private message feature to share your phone number if you wish.

An appropriate username displays your first name and last initial or whatever you choose that is not profane.  If your user name is inappropriate or sexual in nature you will be booted from the room.  An appropriate profile lists any of the following of your choice:

• Area You are From (East or West River, USE)
• Home Group
• City and State
• REGION
• Service Title (If you have one) such as ASR, GSR, Chair, Room Moderator, etc...,
• You may also wish to list NEWCOMER if this is one of your first meetings
• Cute titles that are non defammatory such as "Internet Dummy", "Just Glad to Chat", "10 years clean", "Old Fart",  etc.., are considered appropriate as a PROFILE if you are concerned about sharing any information about yourself
